Q: Does the title still show it as a '61 VW? I'm wondering how it would be treated by Cal DMV for smog purposes, and by insurance companies. Apr-28-10

A: The title shows it as a 52. In Oregon if the car is 20 years or older we do not smog. Thanks for the question. Have a great day.

Q: does this car run great and is there anything thats wrong with it because im thinking about getting it for my dad as a gift.Would i be able to drive it to colorado. Thanks Trent Apr-27-10

A: Yes, the car runs great. It was tuned last fall but hasn't been driven. It is always kept in the garage. There should not be anything wrong with the car. We have driven it around town and other places and have never had any problems. I would not drive it to Colorado just because of the distance. It would be better to trailer it. We could probably work something out. Phone me if you would like to know more.

Q: Do you have the side curtains and what shape are they and the top in? What year is the engine and chassis? Would the car be drivable to SF, or would it be better to tow it? Thanks. Apr-26-10

A: Yes, I have the side curtains, cover for the tire and cover for the top when it is down. The curtains, cover and top are in very good condition. They do not have any rips because they were never used. The engine and chassis is a 1961, If it was me I would probably not drive it to SF. Thanks for the question and have a great week.
