Ebay Description:

Own a rare piece of VW history, up for bid is a 1976 Bruce Meyers Manx SR 2 by Karma Coachworks out of Westminster California. Fun to drive and very tight suspension. This car has flip up Lamborghini style doors that are operated with a keyless entry fob and under dash buttons. Has the original removeable hardtop which is not found on many surviving Manx SR 2. I have a complete scrapbook of the cars's history with pictures of the car under construction, Meyer's articles and original ads, specs, and literature. The orignal donner car was a 1970 VW that was shorted to fit the Manx SR 2 Kit. Also a complete instruction manual on how to install the fiberglass body on to a shorted VW chassie. The VW engine is a 1776 cc with a single carb and many upgrades. the wheels are early Western with a 4 lug VW bolt pattern, the fronts are 13" and the rears are 14". Full VDO gauges in the dash and a Empi trigger shifter. The car has a new front axle beam, new shocks, new front brakes ,new tie rods and a new AM/FM/ CD radio. This car is a head turner as only a few hundred kits were made and most people have never seen one in person. You can find more information on the Manx SR 2 at www.manxsr.com which is a great site for information and networking with other Manx SR owners. The car is in good condition with some small chips in the body and some ware on the seats, remenber this car was bulit in 1976 and has all the orginal kit parts from when it was constructed. I purchased the car in 2007 in New Mexico and trailered the car back to Colordao. I was told it was from Arizona which is where the VIN was issued. I live in Colorado Springs CO where you can pick up the car or arrange for shipping yourself . Please pay with cashier's check or money order and I require a deposit of $1000 within 3 days of the auction completion. There is no warranity and the car is sold in as condition. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding on the rare piece of VW history.
