100% electric vehicle

1970 Volkwagen Beetle drivetrain with a 1981 Bradley GTElectric kit car body

Reportedly only 50 were built as kits and turnkey forms in the early 80s by Bradley Automotive at Plymouth, Minnesota
Originally a 96VDC system. Upgraded to 120VDC system in 2004.
*Warfield WarP9 Impulse Series Wound DC 9" Motor (single shaft) (28 hp)
*Curtis 1231C-8601 controller (96VDC-144VDC)
*15 Crown CR-165, 8.00 Volt, Lead-Acid batteries Thermoil De-Mister used to prevent sulfating and corrosion on terminals.
(batteries still have alot of juice left in them, but not new. Purchased new July 2008)
*Russco SC 18-120 SO 120 VAC (on-board) charger
*One ConAir hairdryer for the defroster. *One ConAir hairdryer for rear heat.
*Meanwell 120 Volt to 12 Volt DC-DC converter
*Bradley motor voltmeter, Westach motor ammeter, Bradley auxiliary voltmeter, Bradley speedometer, Westach State of Charge meter
*Top Speed: 65 MPH (with new batteries)
*Range: 45 miles on level terrain per full charge (with new batteries) (spring, summer and fall)(range diminishes as batteries get older, colder weather, hilly terrain, rough terrain, wind, rain, etc.)
*PYLE AM/FM/CD stereo radio
NOTE: This is not a show quality vehicle, because of the upgrades made in 2004. Needs some touch up work on the paint job.
