EBAY Description:

Here is a barn find Cool old dune buggy. I found it years ago, went through it and just do not use it. It originally had a single port engine that had a head leak. I found a dual port engine and replaced the single port, installed a new clutch and throw out bearing, rebuilt the carb and I was good to go. From there the buggy has sat. I put new Hankook radial tires on it. Less than 100 miles on them. Still has the chrome Ansen sprint rims. Some minor rust on the rims but original to the buggy. Also will include the original bias ply tires that came with the buggy as I kept them. Pictures show the original tires. All the gauges but the temp gauge works(amp, fuel ,tach, speedo, oil pres) Radio works fine as well. Will include the original engine if you want it. Has a cool what looks to be a Ford Model A flying quail motometer on top of the radiator. Chrome radiator surround is in great shape as well and has the Maxi Taxi logo on the top center of it. Neat carriage lights for running lights on the side. Bumpers have some minimal rust but are very presentable. Original seats that are in great condition. Roof rack. Removable top appears to be painted in a splatter fashion with felt flocking sprayed on the inside of the top. Will probably need to have the brakes bled, buffed again, carb dialed in, etc as it has been sitting for several years. Started right up today with minimal work. What I see it needs is carpet inlays, running board rubber and just plain old running it. It does have some minor oil leaks under the push rod tubes on the left side. I did not get the side curtains for it. All snaps are there and I am sure they can be made to fit if need be. It does have some chips in the fiberglass where the door striker hit it on both sides on the back of the door opening where the door closing studs hit the body when the doors were being closed but nothing terrible. The rest of the body is in great shape with no chips or breaks or other issues. Rear seat was removed in pictures to get to battery. Pan is amazingly solid as is the rest of the buggy. Just a real neat and non molested old machine. Nothing cobbled up, painted over or screwed up. Even sounds great going down the road. Thanks for looking.
