I wonder who ordered those wheel skirts..

EBAY Description:

This is a great buggy!! It's a 60's Sand Shark body by ATV Industries on a 1959 VW beetle pan. It had a complete restoration in 2007, including new rebuilt motor and new wiring, fuel lines, rear disc brakes, suspension and instrumentation.

The body is in very good condition with only a few minor lines in the jell coat. These older bodies were made from thicker fiberglass, making them more durable. It has a new dash made of metal and contains new Autometer instrumentation with fuel level, oil pressure, oil temp, and volt meter. It also has a 5-1/2" Lunar model tach and all instrumentation lighting is LED. The dash also includes a glove box. All lights, signals, horn, wipers and gauges work as they should with the exception of the fuel gauge. The sending unit float in the stock tank sticks and does not register on the gauge. It should be adjusted so that it slides more freely or irregular angles. But it's easy enough to just remove the gas cap and look inside and fuel when necessary. There are two baja style poly seats with sliders for driver and passenger positioning which have 4-point racing seat belts. There is a "bikini" style top that goes on and off with ease.

The engine is a 1641 with a little over 9500 miles on it. A VW mechanic built it with new pistons, jugs and carburation. It has a Webber IDF style EMPI 40 HPMX carburetor turned to the engine. It also has new heads with larger valves and a Scatt cam. The ignition is digital (no points) and it is a dual port motor. The factory aluminum intake manifolds are polished and look like chrome. The distributor is also polished as is the center intake manifold. Charging is done with a 12 volt generator and the motor burns clean, with only the traditional oil drips that are normal for air cooled VW beetles. The buggy also has a brand new fuel pump, rear brake pads, rear shocks and a dual master cylinder.

The buggy comes with an additional set of rear wheels 15"X10" and tires. The front wheels are 15"X7" for improved handling and suspension geometry. The tread on the front tires is a bit worn and tires should be replaced. There is also a tow bar included with the buggy.

This is an awesome buggy and I get compliments wherever I go with it. It's a real head-turner!! The title is free and clear and in hand. I am not interested in any trades.
