EBAY Description:

For sale is my 1966 Meyers Manx dune buggy. It is authenticated thru the Manx dune buggy club. ( #2656 out of #5280). It is powered by a 1600 dual port vw engine. Buggy is on a 12v system. Engine starts and runs great, but does burn and drip oil. This buggy was totally disassembled in 1996 and totally rebuilt from ground up. I will attempt to list all items that were installed on the buggy at that time.

IRS rear end and transmission, chrome dual exhaust, fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel sending unit, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake lines, brake shoes front and back, throttle cable, speedometer cable, new gauges-voltmeter, tach, oil pressure, headlight switch, wiper switch, wiper blades, speedometer out of 1975 beetle w/ fuel guage, chrome headlights, turn signal lights, tail lights, chrome rear view mirror, chrome side mirrors, new shocks front and back, steering dampener, steering wheel, turn signal/ horn assembly, new rims and tires, wiring harness, new carpet, seats w/ adjustable sliders, rear seat, seat belts, chromed front bumper and roll bar, new black rag top (excluding doors), new paint in 1996, new cd player and radio, new battery in 2008, new starter in July of this year. I have receipts of all parts installed on buggy. Buggy was put together with stainless steel nuts and bolts.

There are two minor issues that the buggy has:
1. The engine at some point will need to be rebuilt if it is going to be a daily driver, because as I stated earlier it does burn and use oil. I have not rebuilt it because I only use the buggy occasionally.
2. When the buggy was converted over to the IRS rear end the sump portion of the fiberglass body hit on both underneath sides causing cracks in the fiberglass. This does not affect the buggy in any way.

The buggy has had very little miles put on it since the rebuild in 1996-97. It is garage kept and only driven on sunny days. I have never driven it in the rain. I would say I have put less than 3000 miles on it since the rebuild. Please ask questions. This is a very nice Buggy.
