EBAY Description:

You are bidding on a Meyers Manxter 2 + 2 Dune Buggy.

The build on this Manxter 2+2 was started in 2004 and finished in 2010. It was a long process, but the results are self evident.
Some of the real unique attributes of this example are the interior and the custom air brush work on the roof, dash and other areas. Its a great look. The interior is really gorgeous and more custom faux wood grain work on the dashboard is wonderful. The finishing touches under the hood and top are more indicators of the attention to detail that went into this build.

The Manxter came to life in 2004 as Kit #60. It was shipped to us after we picked the options we wanted on this build from a catalog that was sent to us. The kit included:

Manxter 2+2 Options that were added to this build were:

Solid Side Pods

Fiberglass hardtop Tan

Rear fiberglass seats

Meyers Manx Sidewinder Exhaust - 1 5/8" (hot–jet coated)

After finding a donor bug, we stripped the whole body and components down to the pan and center beam and started from scratch. The floor pans were sprayed with truck bedliner (top/bottom). The front beam was changed to a new adjustable front beam with disc brakes. The rear brakes are drum, but have all new lines, hoses pads, drums and regulators. The front seats are from a 1999 Chevy Camaro. They are adjustable forward and back and drivers seat is up and down. All of the "wood" found on the top, dashboard, rear bumper, gear shift knob, gas tank and sending unit cover was airbrushed by a professional. The gas tank is custom and was hand fabricated to have hidden bolts and look like a box that sits in the front of the buggy.

The buggy comes with all brand new VDO Guages (oil, temp, speedo, tach) and has indicator lights. The engine is a Pro Built Scat 1776cc motor from CA matched up to the original 4-speed manual transmission. The interior was all done by a pro shop in our area which includes headliner material under the removable top and under the hood in the front. Full carpet and side panels and floor matts with the name Manxter 2+2 embroidered on them.

All parts on the chassis are brand new including the steering box. The wiring is a Chevy Painless wiring kit and was installed by a professional (which is evident by the lack of "rats nest" behind the dash). The Manxter is street legal. Titled and registered as a 1970 bug. Have all reciepts and paperwork. Has nice tires and wheels and has never been off road. This is a one of a kind look for this type of buggy.

This vehicle is being sold "As Is, Where Is" with no warranty. We will sell only to buyers in the United States. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping of the vehicle.
