Ebay Description:

Currently owned by Eisert & Templeton

Up for sale! 1968 Bugetta-Street Legal Dune Buggy. Originally engineered and manufactured by the late Jerry Eisert (Winner of the prestigious Indianapolis Mechanical Achievement Award in 1966 for being one of the first to build a rear engine Indy Champ Car) of ERE; (Eisert Racing Enterprises/Bugetta, Inc. of Costa Mesa), this beauty has just undergone a complete RESTO. As you can see from the pictures, she's a beauty! Ready to drive! Get in-turn the key-and you're off! On the more technical side; this beauty boasts a MONOCOQUE chassis which keeps the curb weight down to 1200Lbs. The dimensions are: 82" wheel base-138" total length-78" width-and 44" height. Some of the things done in the resto are: New paint, New upolstery, newly rebuilt 1600 VW engine with ceramic coated exhaust, VDO gages, removable MOMO-type steering wheel, all new wiring/painless wiring harness, new clutch and pressure plate, Wilwood adjustable pedals, new stainless steel roll bars, new tires-265/50 front-rear-295/50, and much much more!

The Bugetta is wonderful to drive on or off road. With it's wide stance, Indy-like wide tires and rims, handles more like a race car than a dune buggy. Cornering is extremely flat and feels like it would stick to the road at speeds most people wouldn't care to experience. This ride is RARE!

If you live in Southern California and want to schedule a time to see or test drive this beauty, make contact with Eisert/Templeton at ebay message center.

**The winner/purchaser of this vehicle will be invited to the Eisert home to pic up the vehicle and to see and receive a binder filled with Bugetta memorabilia.
