Ebay Description:

This auction is for a Manx style Dune buggy that is an easy to finish project. The car is basically complete and the people we bought it from said they were driving it until the coil went bad and it stopped running. I had my engine guy put together another motor for it starting with a nice H case shortblock with perfect endplay and put newer heads and gaskets on it. The motor still needs minor items like plugs and wires and will be a great runner. The buggy will come with a bunch of spare parts to get it on the road and for spares. It is titled as a 1966 VW and comes with a clear NJ Title in the previous owners name (see pictures). We bought it as a project and never finished or registered it and are now selling it as a project so I can only offer the title we received with it and give you a bill of sale from me. If this is going to be a problem, then please do not bid. The color is red, although it looks orange in some of the pictures. The body and paint has some bumps and bruises and certainly is no show car. The front seats are the poly bucket seats and the rear is a padded vinyl. The front tires are very decent but the rears have some sidewall cracking. The bottom of the chassis still needs to be cleaned and undercoated. Headlights will be included with the boxes of spare parts. I have included plenty of pictures of the car which should show a good representation of what it is. Again, it is being sold as a project and with a little finishing, could be a nice buggy. Why spend 8 grand when you can have one with a little work. We are losing our storage space with the purchase of a tremendous camper, so our Dune buggies have to go, and this is the first one.

A $200 deposit is required immediately at the end of the auction, so please be prepared to send this. The balance is due within 7 days when the buggy is to be picked up here on Long Island. If you need it shipped, please use my zip code of 11776 when contacting an auto shipping company.
