Ebay Description:

Here is an original Meyer Manx. Built in 1968 and still in great condition. Built from a 64 swing axle bug. This is a two owner low mileage Dune Buggy that was build to use at the lake cabin in the summers. The original Gold metal flake still shows great. With just two small hairline flaws on one fender. The original pearl white interior is also in excellent condition, with the exception of one of the front seats. ( I was returning from a show and when crossing the Mississippi River a gust of wind removed it from my car. I went back for it, but I think it's in the Gulf now.) I had two new matching ones made up. The Motor is a 1915cc that I built up with only 1,600 miles on it. Runs and drives great. transmission and brakes work good, E brake too. 12 volt ele sys. Light and wipers work good. Has top, but only the bows are good. The original roll bar was chrome and painted black by the builder. I've only owned this Buggy for two years after looking for one in this original condition for the last 38 years. I had built one back in high school. Has a clear title. The front emblem is on the mantle of the builders fireplace.

Will help with delivery.

If it was summer I'd drive it anywere in the lower 48 for just gas, hotels and a plane ticket home.

Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Hi -- I built a "gold" Manx in 1968 and it was on a 1964 VW pan. I am looking for my old car. Can you tell me the numbers that are on the body, and especially the VW serial number on the pan itself. This number should be stamped on the wide top of the tunnel, near the shift tube insection plate at the rear where the body comes down and meets the tunnel. This number may also be on the title or it may also be under the rear seat on the tunnel - I am not sure it was so long ago. Thanks ! !

A: Hi, What numbers are you looking for I'll check
