Ebay Description:

1915CC (94mm) ENGINE - CHROME

ENGINE: Complete rebuild. LOTS OF CHROME! 1915cc Big Bore Kit with brand new cylinders and pistons. 40mm DUAL CARBURETOR . Block was professionally line bored. Cylinder heads fly cut to fit the new jugs, fitted with new valves and valve guides. New bearings throughout engine. Performance cam. 12 Volt system. Brand new mega duals exhaust system. This buggy is very fast, extremely responsive. I chose this engine because it is the largest engine that is not known to get too hot. It is a very durable engine and was built right, by professionals. Has remote oil filter to keep it cooled as well. There is well over $3500 in this engine alone. Likely around 120hp.

TRANSMISSION: Shifts very smoothly, all four gears and reverse work great. No grinding, no play. Short shift kit installed, nice tight shift pattern. It is a new rebuilt swing axle.

FRAME: The frame was taken from a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle but is titled as 1970. The frame was measured to specification and professionally welded back together with reinforcement. The entire pan and frame was sanded and painted with a rust proofing. It was then painted with a wrinkle finish paint to given it a nice texture.

EXTERIOR: Body is in great shape, but not perfect. Windshield frame is good, attached with new hardware. New wipers and motor. I have the side pods (see photos) and a yellow fiberglass hard top that has not been cut (no windows for the sides or rear window has been cut, although a template has been drawn on the top where these windows should be cut.)

INTERIOR: New high back seats and padded covers. New steering wheel with turn signals. Horn. Rear view mirror. Seat belts installed. Has rear seat in place, but I have another back seat (gray cloth) with seat belts that will fit with minor modifactions.

MECHANICAL: All new lights/lenses, headlights with nice chrome buckets (no rust), brand new speedometer with fuel guage and other gauges. New master cylinder, front shocks, rear shocks, tie rods, starter, brake and clutch cable, all new brakes including hoses, pads, rear axle seals. Tires are new. Fronts are 195/70R/14. Rear are 275/60R/15. Wheels were painted about 2 years ago with yellow paint. Some paint is coming off through (see photos).

This was built by professionals who are very familiar with Volkswagens. This buggy is versatile, can get wet and be dry in a few minutes unlike many of the other buggys you see with padded seats or other interior. Inspected and street legal (even have a photo of the inspection sticker). As you can tell from above, there have been many hours spent on this buggy, no expense spared. It has been completely rebuilt with many new parts.
