Funnybug sez:
Seller did a nice job and well documented the build. Ended April '09. I don't think the economy would have gotten a higher bid then.

Ebay Description:

This started as a 1974 VW Bug I shortned the frame the right way took my time and cut the outside and pushed the tube's thru the back and shortned them there. So all cables where done right,e brake works just like it should, floor pans I made myself from 3/16 steel very strong.Transmission is stock, new cv axles, new brakes complete, spring kits, wheel cylinders, shoes, drums, brake lines(braided I might add)Front the same but disc brakes, calipers, pads, rotor's,braided lines. All bearing's are also new front and back, adjustable front beam, all bushings where replaced with polyurethane thru out the hole car.KYB shocks on all four corners, new fuel tank modified for center fill with new sender and billet cap.Engine is a 2010 single relief case bored and clearanced for steel stroker crank and pistons, all new.New cam all bearings 8 dowel lightened flywheel kennedy stage 2 clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing.New jugs and CB performance 044 heads, billet aluminum valve covers and crank pully. All new sheet metal and new alternater and belt.009 dist.with petronics electronic ignition, wires and plugs.Weber 44 carb.with chrome air cleaner, tri mill header this was a chrome one that I steel brushed and painted. All cables have been replaced with new shortened ones, new scat dragfast shifter and rebuilt pedal assembly. Also a remote oil cooler and oil filter, hope I covered it all. The body I found had no markings on it at all,as the build was going on I sent it to several different web sites trying to find out who made it,but no luck. One guy told me that might be a good thing, that it was unique and who cares what kind it is and that was enough for me to continue with the build. The body had 2 coats of paint on it,man that was a lot of work to get it clean lots and lots of sanding. Is the body perfect? No but like I said I did all myself and I have been told buy different body men that I did a very good job(pics)it's your call.Me and a good friend of mine built the custom 8 point cage that was highly complemented on at the first car show I attended.I modified the orig.steering column to fit and able to use the factory keys, turn signal switch etc.new Equis gauges fill the custom stainless steel dash and a formuling steering wheel to finish the column.New wiring from front to back with LED stop, brake, and turn signals.New head light buckets and halogin head lights.New windshild and bucket seats with custom made adjusters.I wanted to stay with the VW bolt pattern for the wheels so that limited me on wheels so I bought new wagon wheels had them bead basted and powercoated gun metal to match the roll cage.Wheels 10"rear7"front of course brand new Dunlop GT tires 215/65 15 front and 255/50 15 rear.New carpet was installed just on floor.I'm sure I missed alot if you have any questions please e-mail or call me I will do the best to answer all questions. I really hate to let her go but it's time to start a new project and need the room. For what I have in it,the reserve is set low I'm sure you will be suprised.Of course all shipping and handling charges are the sole responsiblity of the buyer.Almost forgot I need to tell you the bads. The body has a small crack in the paint on back between the cut out and the tall light.I tryed to take pictures of it but couldn't get it to show up.I think the carb needs to be rejetted it has a flat spot about 3500 rpms but a very easy fix.I never got around to putting on the wipers but I'm sure if thats a problem we can work someting out.I did build it to be a street legal car but you will need to check your local laws in the state you live.
